Jackie Ebben-Marsh
Jackie was born and raised in England but always knew she was destined to live in another country. She travelled and volunteered extensively, using her social work training and experience of working with children with disabilities, before settling in The Netherlands in 2011.
Since living in The Netherlands, she has worked at a teaching assistant at the International School of The Hague for 7 years, where she learned a lot about international families and the complexities of living as an expat family which was reinforced by her own migration experiences.
Jackie has also completed her dream of becoming a Therapeutic Play Practitioner and is passionate about delivering child-led, integrative, and holistic therapy sessions to children through the international language of play. She supports the child to realise their own strengths and abilities in order to understand, accept, and resolve many of their own challenges. Jackie’s toolkit of art, sand, clay, stories, puppets, role play, symbols, and of course a positive therapeutic relationship, all supports the child to feel comfortable and at ease with they way they choose to express themselves and their worries. Jackie is experienced in working with all ages of children, and works together with the child to create experiences the child will connect with.
